Las Vegas Hotels, Shows, Casinos, Tours and Tourism
Before you ever set foot on this diamond in the desert, know this: You will not experience everything Las Vegas has to offer in one weekend. With that in mind take baby steps down that Strip and make your stay a quality one. Not one where you simply stop at every hotel and casino for five minutes, then leave. Do your research and know what you are getting into before you stay in one of the numerous hotels and casinos here.
Find out what you want to do while in Vegas and try to preplan everything out. However, there is a limit to what you can map out because most occurrences after 11:30 p.m. are usually serendipitous for most. You have to go with the flow of " Sin City's" excitement.
When you first arrive whether on plane or automobile, checking in to a hotel is objective number one. Objective number two can involve getting something to eat at the various fine dining, casual eatery, or all-you-can-eat buffets. The choice is yours. If you are eager to get right on to the casino floor maybe the buffet is more your style because you're in and out sooner to stack those chips and roll the dice.
If you plan on watching a Vegas live show purchase the tickets in advance to avoid the long lines and crowds they attract. Depending on which hotel you lodge at, just about any major hotel on the Strip has a show that is right for couple's intimate night out, guys or girl's night out, and families too.
What about the attractions? Well, the Vegas attractions are mainly held during the day, but some carry well on into the night. You can check out the one of the seven engineering wonders of the world at the Hoover Dam, scope out the Grand Canyon from above in a helicopter, watch a pirate show at Treasure Island, go to a theme park with roller coasters at Circus Circus, if you're not scared then board the 921-foot high Big Shot thrill ride at the Stratosphere and experience the G-force fun. Stay on land and watch a volcano explode at the Mirage at each hour, from 7pm to Midnight.
After a wild day of exhilaration, you might want to check out some of the best nightclubs in Las Vegas to let loose. Rain at the Palms is a great club with beautiful people and a trendy atmosphere. Or keep it cool at club Ice. Like we said before, just about every major hotel and casino has a nightclub you can visit from Mandalay Bay to Wynn Las Vegas. If a Strip club is what you're looking for then just look for the guys on sidewalks passing out flyers.
Since those long nights of fun that run right into the morning could wear just about anyone out, why don't you sit back, relax and reflect on the previous night at some of the various spas and massage treatment facilities offered by many hotels on and off the Strip. Unwind in utter tranquility and regain composure from the night before and just keep telling yourself: "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."
